RS Photography has covered conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and government events in Singapore since 2013. Our in-house crew runs our events. When the calendar is full, we bring in freelance photographers and videographers who work to the same brief and standard. Each assignment is paid on its own, at a rate agreed before you accept it.
The work
Event photography jobs where the moment happens once.
These are live programmes with no second take. The frames need to be right the first time, whether it is a minister on stage, an award handover or a sponsor's booth visit.

How it works
From application to your first assignment.
- Apply once. Send your portfolio, kit list and availability with the form below. We review applications and contact photographers whose work fits the jobs we have coming up.
- Get offered assignments. Each offer comes with the date, call time, venue, brief and rate. You say yes or no. There is no minimum commitment.
- Shoot to the brief. On the day you report to the RS lead or the client contact named in the brief. You work to the shot list, the VIP list and the run sheet.
- Hand over on the day. Files are handed over as the brief says. Some jobs need same-day selects for the client's newsroom or social team.
- Get paid per assignment, at the rate you agreed before the job.
Who we're looking for
What a freelance photographer needs to join us.
- A portfolio of real event work: people, stage and candid moments, not only styled shoots.
- Your own professional kit: a full-frame body, fast zooms, a flash, and spare batteries and cards. A second body is expected for long or high-profile events.
- Low-light confidence: ballrooms, stage lighting and dim foyers, with flash used well.
- Reliability and discretion: arrive before call time, dress to the event, and know when to step back around VIPs.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore as a freelancer.

Freelance photography jobs: your questions answered.
Is this a full-time job?
No. These are freelance roles, paid per assignment. You choose which assignments to accept, and there is no minimum number of jobs.
How much does a freelance assignment pay?
Each assignment has its own rate, agreed with you before you accept. It depends on the role, the hours and what has to be delivered on the day.
Do I need my own camera equipment?
Yes. Bring your own professional kit: a full-frame body, fast zooms, a flash, and spare batteries and cards. For long or high-profile events, a second body is expected.
Can I apply without event photography experience?
We look at event work first, because a live programme gives you one chance at each moment. If most of your portfolio is other people photography, apply anyway and say so in your application.
Can I post photos from RS assignments on my own portfolio or social media?
Not without clearance. Client work is confidential, and many of our clients are government agencies and corporates with media policies. Ask us first and we will tell you what can be shared.
Do you also hire freelance videographers and photo booth operators?
Yes. Choose the role in the application form on this page. Videographers should send a showreel or event highlight films. For photo booth operators, reliability and a friendly manner with guests matter more than a portfolio.
