Venue know-how

Event photography at Singapore EXPO.

EXPO halls are vast, bright and industrial — perfect for trade floors, punishing for a crew that has not planned its movement. Distance is the real variable here, and it is a staffing decision.

Track record

The halls we work, and what runs in them.

Our EXPO assignments have covered the main exhibition halls, the Peridot meeting rooms, the sports halls and the function spaces off Foyer 1 — enterprise technology conferences with parallel session tracks, international food and hospitality trade shows running four days, district sports championships, and community dinners seating dozens of tables.

Planning notes

Distance is the thing to plan for.

A single photographer cannot cover an opening ceremony in one hall and an exhibition floor in another — the walk alone eats the programme. So EXPO briefs get their coverage assigned by hall before the day, with a roamer whose only job is the floor. Bright, even hall lighting is technically kind; the schedule is not, which is why EXPRESS 24™ matters more here than almost anywhere: first selects within the hour, full gallery within 24 hours, each show day handed over before the next one opens.

Other venues: Marina Bay Sands · Suntec Singapore · hotel ballrooms. Lighting notes for all three are in the venue photography guide; organisers running a full show cycle should start at MICE event media.

FAQ

Shooting at Singapore EXPO, answered.

Do you cover events at Singapore EXPO?

Frequently. Our assignments there have run in the main exhibition halls, the Peridot meeting rooms, the sports halls and the function spaces off Foyer 1 — enterprise technology conferences, food and hospitality trade shows, sports championships and large community dinners.

Why does Singapore EXPO need a bigger crew than a hotel ballroom?

Distance. EXPO halls are vast, bright and industrial, and the walk between a stage, a sponsor booth and the entrance is genuinely long. One photographer cannot cover an opening ceremony and an exhibition floor at the same time — so we plan movement and assign coverage by hall before the day.

Can you shoot exhibitor booths as well as the conference programme?

Yes, and at EXPO that is usually the point. Booth coverage, product demonstrations and visitor interactions run through our exhibition photography; stage and session coverage runs through our conference crews. Interviews filmed at a booth are a common add-on.

How fast can we get photos from an EXPO show?

EXPRESS 24™ delivers first edited selects within the hour and the full gallery within 24 hours. On multi-day trade shows we hand over each day's material before the next day opens.
